Nourishing Traditions

My favorite Christmas present to myself was the "Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats" written by Sally Fallon & Mary Enig.

I have read many reviews and heard about this cookbook for several years and for some odd reason never ordered it! Soo glad I have it now.

Sam and I started the new year wanting to eat and live a healthier lifestyle.  Well mainly I wanted Sam to eat better and he wants me to workout HAHA! So we made a compromise.  He would eat "like I do" for 3 months if I would workout for 3 months.  DEAL!

Well sort of, I feel like chasing a one year old around at stockshows is workout enough.  Our Kimble County Jr Livestock Show was yesterday and lord please help us.  All Shep wanted to do was run around screaming and every now and then he would stop and stand at the show ring fence shaking it back and forth wanting in.  I don't think we are going to have to worry about him not wanting livestock.  Moo is his favorite word right now, so that makes me thrilled :)

Anyway back to Nourishing Traditions, the cookbook is full of awesome Sam approved recipes.  And if you haven't figured out by now Sam is extremely picky!!! He still will not eat cabbage, broccoli, brussels sprouts, chicken, or anything "weird" but I am hopeful he will make some unpickiness progress this year.
